Kor is the most aggravating monster I’ve ever met.
Unfortunately, he’s also the hottest.
Six foot six of glowering, muscular orc, Kor makes my heart flutter every time he gets too close. His gravelly voice does extremely inconvenient things to me, but when I listen to what he says, I remember exactly why I can’t stand him.
It would be manageable if we weren’t stuck planning the Halloween Ball together. For one enchanted night of the year, monsters and humans mix freely, their identities hidden beneath magical masks. It’s an important part of Blackrose Hollow’s culture, and I’m determined to make this year’s the best one yet.
So far, Kor has blocked my fog machines, vetoed my inflatable pumpkin, and developed an infuriating habit of stepping in to fix every problem before I’ve finished being properly annoyed by it.
The worst part?
Every argument leaves us standing a little too close. Every glare lasts a little too long.
And I am absolutely, positively not wondering what those tusks would feel like against my skin.
Nope. Not thinking about that. Falling into bed with Kor would be a terrible idea.
