Today marks a big day for me: it’s been five years since I launched my first book on Amazon. Ah, what sweet days those were – I knew nothing about what I was doing, but I took the gamble anyway and threw Tiger’s Hunt out of the nest.
It wasn’t a huge success, of course. but it did well enough to encourage me to keep trying. I stuck with paranormal romance for a year before finding science fiction romance published Zovak with Juno Wells. Now science fiction romance is my Thing, and I love it, though I do want to go back and finish off my lion shifter series.
Five years and thirty-one books, plus a few shorter stories in anthologies. I didn’t think I’d get that far! But I’ve just released Chained to the Alien Champion, and I am pleased and proud of what I’ve written. I’m already starting on the next Crashland novel, tying up the second trilogy and laying the groundwork for the third.
It’s been a wonderful five years, meeting amazing people and writing stories that I love. The sfr community is fantastic, supportive, kind and helpful, and I look forward to the next five years, now that I do have some idea of what I’m doing!
I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
